DISM
Check Health:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
Advanced System Scan:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
If corruption, fix with restore health:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
(or if you need the source from a Windows 11 ISO download: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth Source:E:\\Sources\\install.wim)
Reboot
The above steps repair the image stored on the system but it does not repair the actively-working OS install. To do so:
sfc /scannow
Reboot
Check to see the component store:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore
Cleanup:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
Cleanup and reset so you can go back (burn the ships):
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase
